Every year I make the resolution to work out more and eat better and every year I work out often, but don’t eat well, so I don’t lose weight. (I hate cooking and don’t do it, which makes eating healthy difficult.)
But this year I’m going for broke. I’m making a resolution to be as healthy as Chris Traeger from Parks and Recreation. In other words, I am going to be as healthy as Rob Lowe, because Chris Traeger is lit-erally Rob Lowe IRL, since he’s one of the many Hollywood Dorian Grays who haven’t aged in 30 years (like Keanu Reeves and Paul Rudd.)
This is what Rob Lowe does: eats a low carb/high protein diet and works out every day. So I’m going to do that. Chris Traeger, on the other hand, runs 10 miles a day and has a resting heart rate of 28. I don’t know about that, but I can try. But I love Traeger’s positive thinking and will stick to that, since tons of research supports the power of positive thinking, gratitude and meditation.
New Year’s Resolutions 2021:
I will eat meat, eggs, vegetables and good fat. I won’t eat sugars and starch.
I will write down three positive things that happened that day and three things I am grateful for in my gratitude journal.
I will meditate 10 minutes a day.
I will work out with the below schedule. (I was doing Cassey Ho’s monthly calendar, but I want cardio and stretching every day, and I’d like to hit the same muscle group twice a week.)
Wish me luck. I hope to be healthier by this time next year.
What about you, readers? What are your 2021 resolutions?
