2022 New Year’s Resolutions: 5-month check-in

Updated: May 9, 2022

By Kelly

It’s been four months since my last blog post. That made me feel guilty until I realized I haven’t posted, because I’ve been busy pursuing my dreams. That’s not something to be ashamed of. It’s something to celebrate. So here’s the progress I’ve made toward my New Year’s Resolutions in 2022:

What I did January–April:

  1. Get fit.

    1. Between January and April, I ran 3, 5Ks a week to train for a virtual 5K, which I ran in 45 minutes.

    2. I lost 10 pounds, which isn’t as much as I’d hoped, but it’s better than 0.

  2. Eat healthy.

    1. I upped my intake of salads, fruits and vegetables.

  3. Become a best-selling author.

    1. I rewrote the time travel novel I’ve worked on for 31 years.

    2. I then sent it to a book coach for advice on how to get it traditionally published.

So I’m making some good progress, but there’s still 7 months left in the year, so here’s how I'll up my game the rest of the year:

What I’ll do May–December:

  1. Get fit.

    1. I’ll follow the above workout schedule.

  2. Eat healthy.

    1. I’ll eat less processed food and make more meals at home.

  3. Become a best-selling author.

    1. I’ll revise the time travel novel according to the book coach’s edits.

    2. I’ll pitch the novel to agents again.

How about you, readers? What are you doing to pursue your dreams this years?
