The only news leaked by Joss Whedon so far is this: “Dr. Horrible will be in it.” Is it super nerdy that just that tiny crumb of information excites me? Yes, but this is Whedon Watch so I think even questioning my nerdiness is redundant. And everyone knows nerds are in. (We’ve started to outnumber them.) If you are confused as to what Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog is, I’ll make it simple. It’s a blog, so you used to be able to watch online here for free, but now you have to pay.
It’s a sing-along, reminiscent of Joss Whedon’s famous musical episode of Buffy, which several thought was a bad idea but then every show airing during that time broke down and copied it hoping for equal success (That ’70s Show, Xena). Finally, it stars Dr. Horrible, better known as Neil Patrick Harris, who’s currently making an acting comeback similar to John Cusack’s, probably spurred by his good sense of humor in playing himself in Harold & Kumar as a Neil Patrick Harris who steals cars, drops X and snorts coke off a naked girl’s ass while standing in the sunroof of a fast-moving car with no one driving. So you should take a look. You really should, especially since it recently won an Emmy.
